Donna designed this quilt during a Design Class with Cynthia at Oak Leaf Quilts in New Braunfels, TX. She made it to commemorate her son's new vineyard and writes "I named it Let The Vineyard Be Fruitful Lord since it was his first planting. He now has 13 acres of producing vines and received a nice write up from a local wine critic in Oregon, where his vineyard is located."
Donna describes her quilt design process, "This was quite a project, especially for my first design. I referenced your book several times and Rhonda was a great help also." (Rhonda is the owner of Oak Leaf Quilts and a close friend of Cynthia's who contributed a quilt to Cynthia's Picture Piecing book.) Donna goes on to say, "I really enjoyed doing this although there was a time or two I wondered if I'd taken on more than I was capable of doing!"
