Ravello, is an original design by Beth depicting the Amalfi coast in Italy. The quilt was designed using Cynthia's Picture Piecing method. Beth says "I first made a line drawing of it using software similar to PhotoShop and then subdivided it for the piecing. The geraniums and morning glories were the hardest to do. The architectural elements were the easiest."

Beth goes on to say "I live in Great Falls, Virginia and am a retired government economist. I've been quilting for about 10 years and have finally found my favorite technique, picture piecing, which allows me to combine my two loves--quilting and photography. "
